Author Guidelines

Submission

In order to submit a manuscript, an account has to be created first. Existing users need to sign in and start the process by clicking on “Submit article“ on the homepage.

All necessary information has to be entered in the submission form, and all required files duly uploaded to the system. Manuscript submissions are accepted only in word format (.doc or .docx).

For the correct style and formatting, please use the journal template.

Review process

Upon submission, the manuscript enters a review process as described in detail here. Briefly, after passing the initial checks, the manuscript undergoes a single-blind peer-review by at least one reviewer from the relevant scientific field. Finally, the author is informed whether the manuscript has been accepted, rejected, or sent back for (major or minor) revision.

Plagiarism policy

Submitted manuscripts are expected to comply with the journal's Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement. This includes the prohibition of plagiarism, i.e. the use of someone else's work without the proper citing of the original author and source.

Submissions to the EJENS journal are being checked using the Plagiarism Checker by Grammarly®. In case of the detection of minor plagiarism, authors are asked to revise the manuscript. However, in the case of significant plagiarism being detected, the manuscript is directly rejected for publication.
